Launch of Process Safety Management in Refineries Division by Director (Refineries) and ED (OISD) - A milestone initiative for Safety and Sustainability
Mr. Arvind Kumar, Director (Refineries), and Mr. Arun Mittal, ED (OISD), jointly launched the ‘Process Safety Management (PSM)’ initiative in the Refineries Division today. In his keynote address, Mr. Arvind Kumar highlighted the importance of heightened sensitivity towards safety in refinery operations. He emphasized the adoption of environmentally conscious practices and described PSM as a framework for achieving significant safety milestones. He advocated for fostering a safety culture where systems and individuals care for one another, moving away from a punitive approach. He urged all stakeholders to actively participate in this transformative journey, stressing that the initiative’s success depends on unwavering dedication to safety excellence. Mr. Mittal, in his address, underscored the importance of a focused and structured approach to safety for ensuring future sustainability. Highlighting the robust incident reporting systems at IndianOil, he emphasized the need to leverage advanced analytics to derive meaningful insights.
