Parliamentary Committee on Public Undertakings reviews Investment Plans of CPSUs at Kerala

The Parliamentary Committee on Public Undertakings conducted a study visit to Kumarakom, Kerala, on January 18, 2025 to review the investment plans of Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs), including IndianOil, HPCL, and GAIL. The session was chaired by Mr Baijayant Panda, Member of Parliament (MP), and attended by Members of Parliament and senior officials from the Parliamentary Secretariat. Mr V Satish Kumar, Director (Marketing), representing IndianOil, addressed queries from the Members of Parliament, wherein he reiterated IndianOil’s commitment to nation-building and its vision for a self-reliant and sustainable energy future. Ms D Padma, ED (CP & ES), Corporate Office (CO), presented IndianOil’s investment plans, highlighting its pivotal role in strengthening India’s energy landscape. The detailed presentation covered key initiatives such as pan-India infrastructure projects, major refinery and petrochemical projects, pipeline network expansions, natural gas portfolio enhancements, CGD infrastructure, and advancements in electric mobility and EV infrastructure. The focus on bioenergy development, achieving net-zero targets, enhancing energy security, and adopting sustainable energy solutions were also emphasised. The Committee members commended IndianOil for its robust performance and innovative strategies, praising its contributions to shaping a sustainable and resilient energy ecosystem for India. Mr Bibhuti Ranjan Pradhan, ED (Coordination & CSR), CO and Ms Geetika Verma, CGM & SH, Kerala State Office, were also present at the meeting.
